After three years of using my Woodworker Axe, I gifted it to my son in law who now uses it every time he goes into the woods. I thought it was a great gift and it was still as reliable as the day I bought it. As with all other Condor axes that use 1060 carbon steel, they look great, hold an edge and sharpen with ease when the time comes. One of the things I really like about this particular axe is the straight hickory handle and how it slides easily into most webbing and straps on a majority of my packs. The shape of the head allows you to "choke up" on the handle for finer wood working tasks and the lanyard hole is always helpful. The standard high quality welted leather sheath comes with this axe as well. I have no complaints and my son in law loves it.
The name of this machete says it all! When youre deep enough in the woods and you want a quality, light weight machete, I would highly recommend the Speed Machete. Still supporting a full tang, this guy is surprisingly light which gives it a fantastic "flick" chop which adds to its cutting power. While its not meant to chop down trees, Im sure it could if you didnt have another option. For overgrowth and dense foliage, this guy tears through the obstruction and clears your path with little effort. The handle is large and comforI have large hands the blade has a nice sand blasted finish that should last a lifetime. Once thing to note, keep this guy clean after using it...it will rust pretty fast! Keep it clean, oiled and sharp, it will last a lifetime. I also love the sheath that Condor added to this machete. Its one of their newer models in black. If I were to head into a dense jungle, I would want this at my side.
